On New Year's Eve the Media Theatre's Crystal Room will bring in 2010 while at the same  time premiering a new performance space to be known as The 104 East Cabaret.

The  first performance at 104 East will be "FÜNF", a stimulating cabaret featuring five sultry vocalists who will entertain a crowd of adults over 21. Three of the  vocalists were seen in this year's critically acclaimed "Show Boat" and are  currently in "The Wizard of Oz": John Jarboe, Patrick Ludt, and Corrine Grosser.  Kemper Florin, also of "Show Boat", will join them as well as Therese Walden  Murphy who is the theatre's voice class instructor.

Jesse  Cline, the theatre's Artistic Director, conceived the New Year's Eve cabaret and  will direct the performance. "We are bringing in 2010 with a new vision," Cline  explained. "Audiences who have been hoping for edgier pieces will enjoy the  celebration as well as the future offerings to be featured at The 104 East Cabaret."

"The  New Year's Eve celebration embraces all relationships," Cline said. "  It's the  perfect place to be bringing in 2010 with the oNe You love or the oNe You would  like to know better."

"FÜNF"  will begin at 10pm on December 31. Songs include selections from " Elton John's  Aida", "The Full Monty", and "The Wild Party" as well as classics written by  Stephen Sondheim and Richard Rodgers. Those who purchase tickets at $50 per  person will receive one free beverage and a champagne toast at midnight. The  Media Theatre will have a regular cabaret schedule at "104 East" starting in January.
