The Contemporary Jewish Museum invites the public for a tea and awards ceremony honoring the winners of The Dorothy Saxe Invitational, today, May 11 from 1-2 PM. This event is free with museum admission.

The Contemporary Jewish Museum has named the winners of The Dorothy Saxe Invitational in the following categories:

The Dorothy Saxe Award for Creativity in Contemporary Arts
First Award - Lisa Kokin, Fauxliage: No Birds Sing, 2011

Second Award - Merav Tzur, Grafted Arboreus sabius, or a failed attempt to propagate the Tree of Knowledge, 2011

Audience Choice Award -Beth Grossman, Yearnings, 2011

Audience Choice Award - Honorable Mention - Lisa Kokin, Fauxliage: No Birds Sing, 2011

As part of the tea and awards ceremony, the artists will address the audience about the art they created for The Dorothy Saxe Invitational as well as their larger bodies of work.
