Direct from celebrated tours in the United Kingdom and Belgium, the award-winning Czech stage drama THE GOOD AND THE TRUE -- starring Isobel Pravda and Saul Reichlin -- will have its American premiere this summer at Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre (103 E. 15th St.). Conceived and originally produced under the auspices of Prague's acclaimed leading repertory theatre Svandovo Divadlo, THE GOOD AND THE TRUE will play an eight-week limited engagement beginning Thursday, July 24, 2014 with an official opening on Sunday, August 3. Losing LeBron, directed by Nicole Prowell Hart and Allyson Sherlock, examines the impact of NBA star LeBRon James' decision to leave the city of Cleveland. Told through the eyes of the fans he left behind, the feature-length film explores why sports are so important to the struggling city. The opera comes full circle at Middlebury's Town Hall Theater when the Middlebury College German for Singers and Vocal Coaches present the classic comedy in German. The adapted version will be presented Friday, August 8th, and Saturday, August 9th at 8:30 p.m.

Today, 5000 Broadway Productions announced its newest production, Vestments of the Gods, as part of the 18th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. Vestments of the Gods is a musical play written by Owen Panettieri with music by David Carl and lyrics by Owen Panettieri. The show will run for five performances during the festival at FringeNYC Venue #7: Theatre 80 on St. Marks Place. Tickets go on sale at www.FringeNYC.org July 18, 2014.
