Following the enormous success of the semi-staged performance of My Fair Lady at the Proms in 2012, John Wilson returns to perform Cole Porter's Tony Award-winning musical Kiss Me, Kate. Joining John Wilson and the John Wilson Orchestra, Broadway stalwarts Ben Davis, Alexandra Silber, Tony Yazbeck and West End star Louise Dearman lead the cast in an irreverent reworking of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew -- a play within a play. This is the BBC Proms debut for all four performers as they sing the energetic score in its original 1948 arrangement.

Direct from celebrated tours in the United Kingdom and Belgium, the award-winning Czech stage drama THE GOOD AND THE TRUE -- starring Isobel Pravda and Saul Reichlin -- will have its American premiere this summer at Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre (103 E. 15th St.). Conceived and originally produced under the auspices of Prague's acclaimed leading repertory theatre Svandovo Divadlo, THE GOOD AND THE TRUE will play an eight-week limited engagement beginning Thursday, July 24, 2014 with an official opening on Sunday, August 3. Today, 5000 Broadway Productions announced its newest production, Vestments of the Gods, as part of the 18th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. Vestments of the Gods is a musical play written by Owen Panettieri with music by David Carl and lyrics by Owen Panettieri.
