Comic Thriller LITTLE ONE Makes US Premiere at FringeNYC Tonight

After a sold-out and critically acclaimed run at the Vancouver Fringe 2014, award-winning and innovative director AMIEL GLADSTONE (FringeNYC Alumni Louis & Dave in a car, Zastrozzi, and The Black Box) re-teams with actor/producers MARISA SMITH and DANIEL ARNOLD (FringeNYC Excellence Award Tuesdays & Sundays) to mount the wryly comic thriller LITTLE ONE at FringeNYC, a play by HANNAH MOSCOVITCH - "Canada's Hottest Young Playwright" (National Post, Globe & Mail, Now Magazine).

When 4-year-old Claire is adopted into the family,6-year-old Aaron has to learn to "love" his new monster of a sister. Told through the now adult voices of these adopted siblings, Little One weaves a story of childhood horror and teenage trauma into a twisted, wryly funny, and ultimately haunting experience. One that asks how long you'd let a psychopath control your life ... and what you'd do to regain it.

LITTLE ONE will be performed at 64 East 4th Street Theater on the following schedule:

Playwright Hannah Moscovitch "might be the best playwright Toronto's got" (Toronto Life) and "her latest offering Little One simply proves that she is no flash in the pan" (Plank Magazine). Moscovitch's work has won multiple Dora Mavor Moore Awards, and she's been nominated for the Governor General's Award, the Carol Bolt Award, the Toronto Arts Council Foundation Emerging Artist Award, the K.M Hunter Award, and the international Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.

Director AMIEL GLADSTONE started the very first Fringe "Bring Your Own Venue" with Theatre SKAM in 1994. A three-time FringeNYC Alumni, he has directed shows in loading docks, parked cars, garages, parks, back alleys, and hotel rooms. Oh, and in many professional/traditional theatres all across Canada, including a national tour of do you want what i have got? the craigslist cantata , which is in-development for a New York production. He has also directed opera including Tosca (Pacific Opera Victoria) and Lucia di Lammermoor (Vancouver Opera), and he is a recipient of the Vancouver Jessie Award for "Outstanding Body of Work".

ALLEY THEATRE's Marisa Smith and Daniel Arnold have been producing and performing critically acclaimed and award-winning shows in Vancouver, Canada since 2008.
