Comedian Dennis Miller is to perform with fellow Saturday Night Live alum Dana Carvey on Thursday at the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino near Highland. Miller says that Carvey is, "the funniest human being on planet earth." He goes on to say, "He burns it down. Listen, I'm not pawing the ground because I do pretty well. But Dana ... it's like the greatest hits from a magician."

Miller also host's "The Dennis Miller Show" when he isn't doing comedy. He doesn't miss hosting Weekend Update at Saturday Night Live, however, saying, "I was a kid. I was happy to do it and I had a blast. But it's on to the next young person. I don't look back at that. I thought Seth (Myers) was great. I'm not as familiar with the new people." Miller also used to host is own show on HBO, "Dennis Miller Live", that ran 10 seasons and earned him five Emmy Awards.

Miller is also a frequent guest on "The O'Reilly Factor." Miller says he is not a fan of president Barack Obama's policies, but doesn't see himself as a conservative right-winger. Miller says in a recent interview that, "I'm for killing bad guys before they kill us. I like to keep my money. But everything else I'm liberal." He continues to say, "You can't really fight it. People see you as they see you. I'm for gay marriage, I'm pro choice, but I think some late-term abortions are murderous. I'm very liberal on some things and libertarian on others. But I've been deemed to be a right-wing fanatic. But I'm not going to spend much of my day on that. Who wants to do that? It's not going to change people."

Miller is thankful for being able to make a living telling jokes for over 30 years. He says, "I've always had the view of showbiz as a lily pond. I don't see the far shore. I'm just looking to stay dry."
