Coachella Valley Rep Presents BUBBLEGUM This Weekend

The Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre (CVRep) will follow up LOVE, LAUGHTER AND LUNACY with two more exciting cabaret offerings - BUBBLEGUM's ANONYMOUS - CHEW ON THIS!, a tribute to the music of the 50's, 60's and 70's starring Gilmore Rixxo, this weekend, July 18-20, and HE LOVES AND SHE LOVES, starring Erica and Brent Schindele, August 9 and 10.

Bubblegum's Anonymous ---Chew On This! is an extremely fast paced, light-hearted, tongue-in-cheek, twist on the many 12 step programs and "self-awareness-encouragement support groups" all wrapped up in the sounds of the 50's, 60's and 70's. The show stars Gilmore Rizzo, who last summer wowed audiences with his sold-out 3-day engagement of "That's Amore." Joining Rizzo are featured singers Darci Monet, Barbara Shane, and Jessica Buda, as well as Musical Director Bryan Miller and Kevin Widener on drums.Bubblegum's Anonymous: Chew On This! will be performed tonight, July 18th at 7 PM, Saturday, July 19th at 2 PM and 7 PM, and Sunday, July 20th at 2 PM. Tickets are $25.00

In August, CVRep presents He Loves And She Loves, an evening of love songs from "boy meets girl" to "happily ever after" starring Erika & Brent Schindele. The couple, who met in 2010 while performing together in a Stephen Sondheim musical, started dating shortly afterwards and married in 2013. Erika is excited to be back at CVRep where she played Lisa in Collected Stories and was nominated for a Desert Theater League award. Brent makes his CVRep debut, but has appeared locally as Tony in the McCallum Theatre production of West Side Story. He Loves and She Loves will be performed on Saturday, August 9th at 7 PM, and Sunday, August 10th at 2 PM. Tickets are $25.00

Gilmore Rizzo is cousin to both American-Italian legendary singer Bobby Darin & Jazz Flugelhorn player Chuck Mangione - "so a love of music and theatre is in his DNA". On television Gilmore was the character "Tony" for 8 1/2 years recurring on the Emmy Award winning series Murphy Brown starring Candice Bergen, as well as appearances on Roseanne, Matlock, Step By Step, Ellen, The Finelli Boys and Murder She Wrote. Living In Captivity, and was seen playing a mock Brady Bunch game of trivia with Donny & Marie Osmond on their Daytime talk show.

Erika Schindele ireturns to the Coachella Valley Repertory where she played Lisa in Collected Stories and was nominated for a Desert Theater League award. Her theater credits include: Helen in Italian Straw Hat (World Premiere), Belle in A Christmas Carol (2011-2013) and numerous Theater for Young Audience productions at South Coast Repertory; KT in Merrily We Roll Along (where she met her husband!) and Martha Jefferson in 1776 at the Actors Co-op; Minnie Fay in Hello Dolly at the Welk Resort; Belle in A Christmas Carol at Sierra Madre Playhouse and Glendale Center Theater; Out of this World with Musical Theatre Guild; Liesl inThe Sound of Music with Limon/Carr Productions; Mae in Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party (Los Angeles Premiere); and Carousel, Mame and Camelot at Cabrillo Music Theatre. Television appearances include "Criminal Minds". "Not A Day Goes By..." Ruth 1:16-17.
