CoHo Productions' 2013-2014 season will debut with Bruce Graham's The Outgoing Tide, an award winning play which masterfully unveils a family's struggle to take care of one another when its patriarch's mind begins to fail.

The story is set in a summer cottage on Maryland's Chesapeake Bay, where Gunner, a vibrant man in his seventies, who is suffering from memory loss, has come up with an unorthodox plan to secure his family's future. His plan is unsettling to his dutiful wife of fifty years, Peg, who has found a suitable assisted living facility for him, and to his grown son, Jack, who is torn between respecting his father's wishes and supporting his mother. As winter approaches, the family of three must work quickly to find common ground.

The Outgoing Tide premiered at Chicago's Northlight Theatre in 2011 where it won the Jefferson Award for Best New Play.

CoHo Productions is thrilled to bring this relevant, new work to Portland under the direction of Stephanie Mulligan and starring Tobias Andersen and Jane Fellows. The play will open at CoHo on October 18 and continue through November 9, 2013 with evening performances running Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 pm and matinee performances on Sundays at 2 pm.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.cohoproductions.org or by phone at503.220.2646. Coho subscription prices are $60 for the three-show season ($48 for students/60+ seniors). Individual ticket prices are $25, $20 for students/60+ seniors. CoHo Theatre is located at 2257 NW Raleigh Street.
