Soprano Claudia Friedlander, Tenor Matthew Tuell, and pianist Lloyd Arriola present a recital featuring two of Arnold Schoenberg's major song cycles: The 8 Lieder Opus 6 and Das Buch der hängenden Gärten. The 8 Lieder were written just prior to Schoenberg's break with tonality, while Das Buch der hängenden Gärten is considered his first major atonal work. The program will also include Schoenberg's Drei Klavierstcke (1894) and the final duet from Franz Schreker's Opera Der ferne Klang.

Ticket prices: Adults - $22; Park-McCullough Members - $18; Students - $12

The concert will be presented in the Carriage Barn. Call 802-442-5441 or e-mail info@parkmccullough.org to purchase tickets or for more information.

Historic Park-McCullough is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from mid-May through October. Guided tours are the only - and best - way to experience The House.
