Cider House Rules by ACT MFA, March 1-17

The American Conservatory Theater Master of Fine Arts Program presents The Cider House Rules Part One: Here in St. Cloud's adapted by Peter Parnell from the novel by John Irving. Conceived for the stage by Tom Hulce, Jane Jones, and Peter Parnell; directed by Craig Slaight.  Playing at The Zeum Theatre March 1 - 17.

"The Cider House Rules remains one of the most beloved American coming-of-age stories," states press notes, "A sweeping tale that spans multiple decades of American life, the story centers on the experiences of a young orphan named Homer Wells, who in the course of his growing up confronts many of the core personal and political issues we still grapple with today. Part One: Here in St. Cloud's follows Wells from his childhood to his young adult life at the St. Cloud's orphanage in Maine, under the tutelage of the orphanage director and Homer's father figure, Dr. Wilbur Larch."

The cast of The Cider House Rules consists of the entire third year class of the ACT MFA Program. This includes: Brennen Leath, Brian Stevens, Christin Davis, Christina Owens, Grace Heid, Graham Outerbridge, John Bull, Katie Huard, Kurt Uy, Lucas Alifano, Margarett Head, Matthew Nicklaw, Nicholas Hongola, Seton Brown, and Stephanie Saunders. The set design is by James Fenton, costumes by Callie Floor, and lights by Robert Hahn.

March 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17 at 8PM
March 4, 11, and 17 at 2PM
at Zeum Theater located at Yerba Buena Gardens at Fourth and Howard Streets, San Francisco.
