For tourists, local New Yorkers and avid lovers-of-the-arts alike, the best "seats" on Broadway this holiday season are in the Charmin Restrooms. Charmin® has teamed up with non-profit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS to present "Bathrooms over Broadway," the first-ever Broadway show in a bathroom. The 10-15 minute "cheeky" musical production will take place, free-of-charge, before a live audience at the Charmin Restrooms on December 29 at 10:30 AM and will feature the thrilling theatrics of several well-known Broadway stars, including "Shrek the Musical's" Christopher Sieber.

The one-time-only, first-of-its-kind production will feature Charmin in the starring "roll," with Broadway actors paying homage to the top-billing toilet paper brand though a handful of show-stopping musical numbers. Talented loo-loving thespians will sing and dance to all-things-potty, taking the audience on various bathroom adventures throughout New York City during the holiday season. Musical numbers performed to the tune of familiar Broadway and hit pop-culture songs, coupled with toilet-paper-fashioned props, are guaranteed to "bring the house down."

"For four consecutive years, Charmin has been providing tourists and local New Yorkers with a free, clean and family-friendly place to ‘enjoy the go'," said Jacques Hagopian, brand manager for Charmin. "Broadway is such a popular attraction in New York City during the holiday season, we thought there was no better way for visitors to ‘enjoy the go' than by bringing all the excitement of a Broadway musical to the Restroom experience."

In addition to Christopher Sieber, who was nominated for a Tony Award for "Best Featured Actor in a Musical" for his current role as Lord Farquaad in "Shrek the Musical," the Charmin "Bathrooms over Broadway" potty-praising cast will feature Broadway actors Maya Days, Marya Grandy, Bernard Dotson and Joy Hermalyn. "The Go Team," five Charmin Ambassadors chosen to work at the Charmin Restroom this holiday season for a $10,000 salary, and the lovable Charmin Bears, appearing for the first time on Broadway, will round out the talented cast.

"I have performed on many of the world's famous stages," said Broadway Cares Actor Christopher Sieber, "but never before in a bathroom! We're thrilled to have this opportunity to offer visitors to the Charmin Restrooms the best live entertainment available in New York City during the holidays."

Charmin worked with non-profit partner Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS to develop the show's content and relied on the non-profit's expertise to direct and cast the production. Their mission is to mobilize the unique abilities within the entertainment industry to mitigate the suffering of individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.

Since 2006, approximately 1.5 million visitors have experienced the 20 clean, deluxe, ADA compliant, family friendly and fully staffed restrooms that offer a highly engaging and interactive Charmin experience with additional luxuries like stroller parking, baby changing stations and seating and family photo areas. Fun new features this year include a giant toilet for photo-ops, digital graffiti wall, kids' toilet paper pit and video "can-fessional" booth.

The Restrooms are located at 1540 Broadway in Times Square between West 45th and West 46th streets and are open to the public Sunday - Wednesday from 10AM to 9PM, and Thursday - Saturday 10AM to 11PM through Thursday, December 31.

Just one level up from the Restrooms, the Duracell Smart Power Lab invites guests to help power in a new decade - literally. Holiday visitors pedal specially designed Power Rovers to generate energy that is then captured and stored in batteries to light up the 2010 numerals when the Ball drops at midnight on New Year's Eve in Times Square. Guests also have access to an array of Duracell Smart Power products to charge their favorite mobile electronic devices and play with the latest in gaming and charging technology.
