Producers ARS Productions and Adriel Saporta have announced that Christopher Michael McFarland replaces previously announced John Ellison Conlee in the NYC premiere of SPACEBAR: A BROADWAY PLAY BY KYLE SUGARMAN, written by Michael Mitnick and directed by Maggie Burrows. Mr. Conlee had to leave the cast due to booking a recurring role in a television series.

SPACEBAR: A BROADWAY PLAY BY KYLE SUGARMAN still begins performances on Friday, October 24 for a limited engagement through Saturday, November 8. Press Opening remains Monday, October 27 at 7 PM.

Kyle Sugarman, a 16-year-old from Fort Collins, CO, writes a 456-page play that he's sure will be the biggest hit in the history of Broadway. Escaping to New York to find a home for his magnum opus, Kyle finds himself facing off with a flighty producer, while also dealing with the absence of his deadbeat father and flirtations with the Captain of the Girls Swim Team back at home. Ever closer to seeing his name in lights, Kyle's adventure is as funny, touching, and surprising as the play he's written.

The cast features Will Connolly (Once on Broadway), John Doherty (A Bright New Boise at The Wild Project), Willa Fitzgerald (MTV's Scream), Ana Kayne (The Club at Playwrights Horizons), Christopher Michael McFarland (As You Like It at the New Victory), and Morgan Ritchie (The Seagull at Huntington Theatre Company).

The performance schedule is Tuesday - Saturday at 8 PM; Sunday at 7 PM. There are added performances on Monday, October 27 at 7 PM (Opening Night), Saturday, November 1 & Saturday, November 8 at 2 PM. There is no performance on Tuesday, October 28. Performances are at The Wild Project (195 East 3rd Street, between Avenues A & B). The regular ticket price is $18.
