Every season from 2002 – 2004, a unique collaboration between Celebration Theatre and Playwrights 6 resulted in "Christmastime is Queer," a highly successful and critically acclaimed series of holiday-themed one-acts built around two criteria: each play had to have a holiday theme and GLBT content.

After a six-year hiatus, "Christmastime is Queer 4" returns with an all-new production including works by several Playwrights 6 alums. Penning new stories for this season are: Laura Black, David Church, Larry Dean Harris, Amy Heidish and Monica Trasandes.

"We're excited to bring this holiday tradition back," said Celebration artistic director John Michael Beck. "It's an opportunity to fill our stage with so many of our favorite actors, and there's a
terrific mix of voices in the storytelling. What better way to celebrate the season?"

Directors for "Christmastime is Queer 4" include: Kay Cole, Kelly Ann Ford, Vesna Hocevar and Jonathan Levit.

The cast includes many Celebration stage veterans including: Beck, Josette DiCarlo, Paula Fins, Michael Taylor Gray, Charls Sedgwick Hall, Samantha Kern, Betsy Moore, Michael O'Hara, Christopher Grant Pearson, Sean Smith, Joe Sousa, Nell Teare and Alecs Vildosola.

Reserved seating is $20 and available at celebrationtheatre.com. "Christmastime is Queer 4" opens December 2 and runs through Dec. 17 with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 3 p.m.

Celebration Theatre is the oldest continuously-producing professional gay and lesbian theatre in the country. In 2009, the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle recognized Celebration with the Polly
Warfield Award for "an excellent season in a small to mid-size theater."
