Christian Filippella's SILVER CASE Comes to DVD and VOD Today

Breaking Glass Pictures has announced the nationwide release of Silver Case, starring Oscar nominee Eric Roberts, Claire Falconer, Br Ian Keith Gamble, Chris Facey, Seymour Cassel, Shalim Ortiz, Vincent DePaul and Brad Light. The film premiered on broadcast VOD on April 15th, and is released today, May 21st on DVD. Silver Case is the debut feature of award-winning Italian director Christian Filippella.

The world of Hollywood scheming reaches a nasty low when a powerful producer (Roberts) hatches a plan to undermine the future success of his shady archrival. His plot begins with the delivery of a silver briefcase, which soon goes missing, setting off a chain of events. The Senator engages his best team to locate the package but doesn't count on the tenacity of two thugs who have the mysterious prize in their possession.

Shot in Los Angeles and Italy, Silver Case premiered at the Rome International Film Festival and went on to screen at a number of festivals including the Cannes Film Festival, Rome International Film Festival, San Diego Black Film Festival, and the Hoboken International Film Festival. The film took home several awards at the 2012 LA Indies Awards: Best Feature, Best Director, Best Lead Actor, and Best Supporting Actress. Additional awards include Best Director and the Jury Award for Best Feature at the Beverly Hills Film Festival.

The DVD release will include a behind the scenes featurette, a look into the style of Silver Case, and a tour of Paris Hilton's estate, used for shooting.

Nick Jonas Film THE GOOD HALF To Be Released This Summer

Following its premiere at the Tribeca Festival last June, The Good Half, starring Nick Jonas, will be hitting theaters this July. According to reports, the film has been acquired by Utopia and, in partnership with Fathom Events, a limited release will include 900 North American theaters on July 23 and 25. Attendees will also get to see a virtual Q&A with Jonas and director Robert Schwartzman. A wide release is expected later in the year.

Steve Carell Joins Tina Fey in Netflix's THE FOUR SEASONS

According to multiple reports, Steve Carell has closed a deal which would reunite him with Tina Fey in a television remake of The Four Seasons from Netflix. The Office alum will star in the remake of Alan Alda's 1981 feature, who will star alongside Tina Fey in the series. Fey co-created the adaptation with Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, whom she worked with on 30 Rock. The film is set to go into production later this year.
