Christopher Sieber, who created the role of Sir Dennis Galahad in the Tony Award winning Broadway production of Monty Python's Spamalot, will join the London cast opening at the Palace Theatre in October. Christopher Sieber joins fellow cast member Tim Curry who will play the role of King Arthur, also reprising the critically acclaimed role he created on Broadway.

Monty Python's SPAMALOT will have its first performance at the Palace Theatre in London's West End on 2 October 2006, with press night on Monday 16 October and opening night on Tuesday 17 October. Tickets are now on sale for performances from 2 October 2006 through 31 March 2007.

Directed by Mike Nichols, Monty Python's SPAMALOT has a book by Eric Idle, "lovingly ripped-off" from the screenplay of the Pythons' best-loved film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. Telling the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, and their quest for the Holy Grail, Monty Python's SPAMALOT features a chorus line of dancing divas (and serfs), flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits and a legless knight.

Book and lyrics are by Eric Idle with a Grammy Award-winning score by Eric Idle and John Du Prez. Other members of the SPAMALOT creative team include Casey Nicholaw (choreography), multiple Olivier Award-winners Tim Hatley (sets and costumes) and Hugh Vanstone (lighting) and ACME Sound Partners.

Christopher Sieber's - who was nominated for a Tony Award for his role as Sir Dennis Galahad - Broadway credits include Chicago, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Into the Woods, Beauty and the Beast, Triumph of Love and A Christmas Carol as well as the New York City Opera production of Cinderella. Off-

Broadway his work includes Avow, The Boys in the Band and Pal Joey. His television credits include It's All Relative, Two of a Kind, Sex and the City, Ed, Guiding Light, All My Children and Another World.

The West End cast includes David Birrell (Patsy), Tim Curry (King Arthur), Tom Goodman-Hill (Sir Lancelot), Robert Hands (Sir Robin), Christopher Sieber (Sir Dennis Galahad) and Hannah Waddingham (Lady of the Lake).

Winning more Best Musical awards than any other show in New York last year, including the Drama Desk and Outer Critics' Circle Awards for Best Musical along with the Tony, SPAMALOT has broken house records, playing to standing-room-only audiences since opening to critical acclaim in March, 2005 at the flagship Shubert Theatre on Broadway. In addition, Mike Nichols won his eighth Tony Award for direction of the musical.

Monty Python's SPAMALOT is produced by Boyett Ostar Productions. Boyett Ostar Productions have produced the Broadway transfers of the London's National Theatre successes – The Pillowman, Democracy, Jumpers and The History Boys, which will open on Broadway in April this year. Their production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Woman in White ran at the Marquis Theater on Broadway this year.

Christopher Sieber is appearing with the permission of UK Equity pursuant to an exchange program between American Equity and UK Equity
