A person's life can change in an instant. Along with many others experiencing an unexpected loss, author Cherie Metcalf can also relate. After the sudden death of her husband of 33 years, the time had come to write the book he had always encouraged her to write, "Blue Heart."

Though Metcalf and her late husband had discovered the need to have God in their lives together, the book reveals how the pair grew in their knowledge of God up to the point of facing death and how Cherie had to deal with life apart.

"My goal is to be a compassionate resource for those suffering from the grief of a lost loved one", said Metcalf. "I want my readers to walk away feeling as if I helped them with their loss and guided them to a more meaningful relationship with God."

With the help of this book, readers who are experiencing the loss of a loved one, struggling within their Christian marriage, and those who are looking to find purpose in their lives, will become empowered to take control and rise above their pain.
