Grammy Award nominated Harmonie Ensemble/New York, conducted by Steve Richman, with Chad Smith, alto sax, clarinet, bass clarinet, will celebrate AL GALLODORO 100th BIRTHDAY CONCERT on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 7 p.m. at St. Stephen's Church, 120 W. 69th St. (between Broadway and Columbus), New York City. Chad will be playing Al's horns!

Legendary alto sax, clarinet, and bass clarinet virtuoso who was soloist with the Paul Whiteman Orchestra for 30 years, and called "the best sax player who ever lived" by none other than Jimmy Dorsey, Al was featured soloist on Harmonie's award-winning Gershwin by Grofé, and Grofé & Gershwin: Symphonic Jazz CDs.

Including works by GERSHWIN (Grofé arrangements for the Paul Whiteman Orchestra of Fascinating Rhythm, The Man I Love, Somebody Loves Me, I'll Build a Stairway to Paradise, and more), plus FERDE GROF?: Gallodoro's Serenade; RUDY WIEDOEFT: Valse Vanité; Ralph HERMANN: Concerto for Doubles; JIMMY DORSEY: Oodles of Noodles, and more!
