According to People, Cecilia Hart, who last appeared on Broadway in the 1984 revival of Design for Living, has passed away after a battle with ovarian cancer. The actress had been married to star of stage and screen, James Earl Jones, since 1982. That same year, the couple played opposite one another on Broadway in a revival of Othello.

Hart's other stage credits include the original cast of Dirty Linen & New-Found-Land, which earned her a Drama Desk nomination, and The 1976 revival of The Heiress. On screen, Hart appeared on episodes of Three's Company, Quincy M.E., Charles in Charge, MacGyver and Law & Order.

Jones and Hart were last seen together at the 2016 Tony Awards this past June.

Hart's family have requested that donations in her honor should be made to either The Actors Fund or Hudson Valley Hospice.
