Cuckold, a short play written by "Smash" and Broadway actor Wesley Taylor, premiering this summer at the Manhattan Repertory Theater 2015 One Act Competition, has found its cast: Ari Itkin (Much Ado About Nothing), Isabelle Ellingson ("Bad Faith"), and Logan Fahey ("Masters of Sex;" "Grey's Anatomy").

"In eighteenth century England, a man hires an illustrious scribe (Itkin) to write a character for his wife (Ellingson), who dreams of acting on the stage. The esteemed poet's extra stipulation is to bed the actress in her own home. During the throws of passion, the cuckold-husband (Fahey) finds the manuscript and starts reading aloud. The beautiful recitation makes the playwright suddenly realize he's been writing for the wrong person and the cuckold becomes his new muse."

Directed by Gregg Wiggans (assistant director of Promises, Promises; assistant executive producer on How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying), performances will be held June 16-19, and if the play moves on to the finals, June 30th and July 1st.

Wiggans will mount the One Act while Taylor stars as the Emcee in Signature Theatre's Cabaret.
