The Civilians (Steven Cosson, Artistic Director), the award-winning New York-based theatre company known for projects investigating real life topics, has announced full casting for its LET ME ASCERTAIN YOU: PRETTY FILTHY, a one-night-only cabaret performance at Joe's Pub on March 4, 2011 at 9:30 PM.

With interviews compiled by Steve Cosson ("Gone Missing," "This Beautiful City") and Bess Wohl ("Cats Talk Back"), and with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman ("Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson," "This Beautiful City"), this cabaret is back by popular demand after sold-out evenings in both NY and LA, offering an early look at research and interviews from the company's unique exploration into the adult entertainment industry.

Featured in the cast of PRETTY FILTHY are Rebecca Naomi Jones ("American Idiot," "Passing Strange"), Andrew Kober ("Hair"), Dael Orlandersmith ("Beauty's Daughter," "Yellowman"), Lexy Fridell ("The Pee Wee Herman Show"), Emily Ackerman ("This Beautiful City"), Gibson Frazier ("God's Ear," "Heddatron"), Nina Hellman ("The Internationalist," "Trouble in Paradise"), Daoud Heidami ("(I am) Nobody's Lunch"), Jennifer Morris ("Gone Missing"), Emily Rossell ("Hannah Montana"), Brian Sgambati ("The Coast of Utopia," "King Lear"), and Robbie Collier Sublett ("Gone Missing").

The Civilians' artists have been out in Vegas and California's San Fernando Valley talking to directors, performers, agents, and producers about the ins and outs of the dirty movie biz: how they do it and what it takes to make it. New excerpts from interviews with well-known adult entertainment figures, as well as new songs by Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson composer and lyricist, Michael Friedman will be performed by the talented cast. Come spend the night with The Civilians - maybe you'll get lucky and win a prize! Seriously, there will be prizes (porn charades, anyone?)

This performance will contain material that may not be suitable for children under the age of 18.
