Heart and Flame Productions is thrilled to announce the cast and design team for its World Premiere Pop/Rock Musical, WE ARE THE TIGERS, book, music and lyrics by Rebekah M. Allen, musical direction by Patrick Sulken, choreography by Jacob Brent and directed by Michael Bello. WE ARE THE TIGERS is produced by Matthew P. Hui, Geri Silver and Evan Bernardin. WE ARE THE TIGERS recently completed an artistic residency at New York City's Musical Theatre Factory, where it presented two sold-out workshop performances in August, 2015.

WE ARE THE TIGERS will preview on Friday, October 2 at 8pm; Saturday, October 3 at 2pm & 8pm; Sunday, October 4 at 7pm; Friday, October 9 at 8pm & Saturday, October 10 at 2pm and will open on Saturday, October 10 at 8pm and run through Sunday, November 8 at the Hudson Backstage, 6539 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.

A new school year means a new beginning for the Tigers, the worst-ranked high school cheerleading team in the state. But when an innocent team-building sleepover becomes a mysterious murder scene, the Tigers will need more than just team spirit to survive the night - and each other. With an original pop/rock score, WE ARE THE TIGERS is a new comedy with a delightfully dark twist on the high school experience!

The cast of WE ARE THE TIGERS will feature: Callandra Olivia, Cailan Rose (Broadway's Hair), Rachel King, Gabi Hankins, Jade Johnson (Recorded in Hollywood), Talisa Friedman (The Last Goodbye), Cait Fairbanks (Heathers The Musical), Charlotte Mary Wen, Katie DeShan, Patrick Reilly, Adam Cropper and Ari Afsar ("American Idol").

The design team for WE ARE THE TIGERS is as follows: Set Design by Emmy Award-winning production designer Jay Heiserman; Lighting Design by Brandon Baruch; Sound Design by Diablo Sound; Costume Design by Haley Vigil; Casting is by Richie Ferris, Michael Donovon Casting, CSA. Orchestrations by Matt Aument. The Stage Manager is Angela Sonner.

REBEKAH M. ALLEN (Book, Music, & Lyrics) is a writer, composer, and lyricist living in New York City. Her work has been featured at the New York Musical Theatre Festival, the Musical Theatre Factory, the York Theatre, the Boo Festival (Award Winner), and the Songwriters' Salon, and has been showcased at 54 Below in We Are The Tigers: In Concert. Her original full-length projects include We Are The Tigers: A New Musical and Remission: A Musical. Rebekah is currently a lyricist in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop.

PATRICK SULKEN (Music Director) is a New York-based music director and arranger. As a pianist or assistant, his credits include: Broadway: Something Rotten!, Gigi. 1st National Tour: Peter and the Starcatcher. Off-Broadway: Little Miss Sunshine (2econd Stage). Regional: Ever After (Paper Mill Playhouse). Film/TV: Ithaca (music by John Mellencamp), The Hunt with John Walsh. As music director: Peter and the Starcatcher (Cincinnati Playhouse/Milwaukee Rep/St. Louis Rep), Dani Girl (Exit, Pursued by a Bear). Patrick is also a pianist and composer for Story Pirates, a nationally recognized education and media organization that celebrates the words and ideas of young people. Proud Northwestern University graduate.

JACOB BRENT (Choreographer) Most recently Jacob directed and choreographed Carrie for the Actors Alliance of San Diego. His other west coast credits include The Great American Trailer Park Musical in San Diego, the West Cost regional premiere of The Producers for the Diablo Theater Company and Peter Pan and Candide for The Children's Musical Theater San Jose. Other credits include Xanadu, Lysistrata Jones, Fiddler on the Roof, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Avenue Q. and Cats. As a performer, Jacob is probably best known for his portrayal of Mr. Mistoffelees in the Broadway, London and DVD productions of Cats, where he worked closely with its creator, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. He is the only performer to have appeared in all three and the only actor to have performed in both of the record-breaking performances of the longest running Broadway and West End show. Currently, Jacob is a MFA candidate in Musical Theater at San Diego State University.
