Cast Announced for NEXT TO NORMAL at Three Rivers Music Theatre

 

Three Rivers Music Theatre has announced the cast of the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, "Next to Normal."

Kat Hickey will star as Diana Goodman, with Todd Frymier as Dan Goodman, Eric Smead and Gabe Goodman, Maddie Hickey as Natalie Goodman, Isaac Becker as Henry, and Andrew Sherman as Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden. Understudying the cast are Erin Tomlinson (Diana), Trent Forrest (Dan/Dr), Tori Smead (Natalie), and Jason Wendt (Gabe/Henry).

Executive/Artistic Director, Andy Planck, will direct the production with Tommy Saul as Music Director.

"Next to Normal", with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt, explores how one suburban household copes with crisis and mental illness. Winner of three 2009 Tony Awards, including Best Musical Score and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize, Next to Normal was also chosen as "one of the year's ten best shows" by critics around the country, including The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone and The New York Times.
