Carrollwood Players' FIDDLER ON THE ROOF to Run 9/11-10/3

The endearing residents of Anatevka come alive in the Carrollwood Players Theatre production of Tony award winner, Fiddler on the Roof, at the Carrollwood Playhouse, 4333 Gunn Highway, September 11 - October 3, with performances Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and Sundays at 3 pm.

The story of Tevye, the village milkman, his wife, Golde, and their five daughters, is a beloved classic of musical theatre. With such lively songs as "Tradition," "L'Chaim," "If I Were a Rich Man," as well as the hauntingly beautiful "Sunrise, Sunset," this bitter sweet drama has something for everyone. Set in late 19th century Czarist Russia, the story focuses on Tevye and his desire to find husbands for his daughters while the specter of a pogrom looms over the village.

The play, directed by Richard Coppinger, stars David Jankiewicz as Tevye; Caroline Cox as Golde; and Brianna Filippelli, Katie Murray, Gillian Ditmer, Kaedin Cammareri and Julia Sanders as their daughters.

Co-producers Jim Russell and Jen Martin say they "... are thrilled to bring our own 'village' together to present this endearing, joyful classic. Having a large cast comprised of so many members of our community stands for everything that community theatre, and Fiddler on the Roof are about."
