The husband and wife actors Carrie Preston and Michael Emerson will take part in the next "Actors Aloud" free panel discussion at The Freeman Studio, 79 Leonard Street, this Sunday, October 19 at 3:30pm. Co-moderated by the NY Theatre Workshop casting director Jack Doulin and Scott Freeman (The Freeman Studio's founder and director), the on-going series invites distinguished, young actors to candidly discuss their craft and careers and to engage with the audience in a Q&A session after their free-ranging conversation with Doulin and Freeman. Complimentary refreshments are provided.

Led by Scott Freeman, the Tribeca-based acting studio is known for presenting numerous community enhancing events and activities for its students and for the city's acting community at large. The so-called extracurricular activities include industry panels and talks, and low-cost workshops called Saturday Specials. Most of these add-ons, led by notable theatre artists, are either free or low-cost, and are open to the public.

Reservations for "Actors Aloud" are highly recommended by visiting www.thefreemanstudio.com.

Preston and Emerson both have contributed Emmy Awards to their mantle at home -- Preston for her role on The Good Wife, and Emerson for his work on The Practice in 2001 and on Lost in 2009. Currently both are on Person of Interest (as a love interest), and Preston just starred in the seventh and final season of True Blood. In addition to Person of Interest, she continues to be better than good on The Good Wife.

For his parts, Emerson has played Oscar Wilde in "Gross Indecency" (his NY stage debut), and has appeared on Broadway in "The Iceman Cometh" with Kevin Spacey and "Hedda Gabler." He has played a string of damaged and sinister characters on The X-Files, Law and Order, Without a Trace, The Inside, The Practise and Lost. He is Finch on Person of Interest.
