Carlyle Hotel Adds White, Hodge To 2011 Winter/Spring Season

The Carlyle Hotel (Erich Steinbock, Managing Director) has announced additional performers for the 2011 Winter/Spring season at the legendary Café Carlyle - the "favorite of all New York nightspots," says Liz Smith - another New York legend.
Following legendary singer-songwriter Judy Collins, who opens a month-long engagement tonight (through March 12 - with singer-songwriter Kenny White taking the stage for the late show on Saturday evenings) will be 2010 Tony Award-winner Douglas Hodge (La Cage Aux Folles) who will make his Café Carlyle debut in a two-week engagement March 15-March 26. Internationally renowned opera baritone Nathan Gunn (with Musical Director Julie Gunn) will enjoy a three-week engagement from March 29-April 16. One of Broadway's leading couples Marin Mazzie & Jason Danieley will offer a romantic evening of music in a three-week engagement from May 10-May 21. American soul singer-songwriter Bettye Lavette will make a rare New York club appearance in a two-week engagement from May 24- June 3. Wrapping up the season will be the return of Tony Award-winner Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon) in a three-week engagement from June 7-June 25. Woody Allen & ThE Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band will continue to appear on Monday evenings now through June 7.
