Actress Carey Anderson, best known as Sophie in MAMMA MIA, returns to the Broadway cast of AVENUE Q as the Tony Award-winning musical's beloved puppet characters Kate Monster and Lucy, beginning Monday, November 24 at 8PM at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street).

As Kate (a kindergarten school teaching assistant) and Lucy (an avowed tramp), Ms. Anderson will perform in the show's signature numbers: "It Sucks to Be Me," "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist," "The Internet Is for Porn," "Special," The More You Ruv Someone," and others.

Carey Anderson returns to AVENUE Q on Broadway, where she initially portrayed Kate Monster and Lucy this past summer, prior to joining the show's national tour in such cities as Memphis, San Antonio, Indianapolis, Madison, Nashville, and Detroit. Ms. Anderson has previously portrayed Sophie in MAMMA MIA on Broadway and on tour, and her other New York credits include the Musicals Tonight! productions of THE GIRLFRIEND and MY FAVORITE YEAR, and ABBEY VICTORIA at Lark Theatre.

AVENUE Q -- winner of 3 Tony Awards in 2004, including Best Musical -- is the hilarious musical about 20-somethings fresh out of college who move to New York City with big dreams and tiny bank accounts.

Ms. Anderson joins Christian Anderson (Nicky, Trekkie Monster, Bear and others), Jennifer Barnhart (Mrs. T., Bear and others), Nicholas Kohn (Brian), Carla Renata (Gary Coleman), Ann Sanders (Christmas Eve), and Howie Michael Smith (Princeton and Rod).

While AVENUE Q continues its celebrated run on Broadway, it also enjoys an enormously successful U.S. national tour and international engagement in London's West End. AVENUE Q has music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff Whitty, and is directed by Jason Moore.

The musical is produced by Kevin McCollum, Robyn Goodman, Jeffrey Seller, The Vineyard Theatre and The New Group. Based on an original concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, with puppets conceived and designed by Rick Lyon, AVENUE Q has musical supervision by Stephen Oremus, choreography by Ken Roberson, scenic design by Anna Louizos, costume design by Mirena Rada, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by Acme Sound Partners.

For the Thanksgiving holiday, AVENUE Q plays a revised scheduled: Monday, November 24 at 8pm; Wednesday, November 26 at 2pm and 8pm; Thursday, November 27 at 8pm; Friday, November 28 at 2pm and 8pm; and Saturday, November 29 at 2pm and 8pm.
