Cantone to Host BST 18th Summer Gala Benefit Bash, 6/17

Come and "Rock the Dock" for Bay Street Theatre at the 18th annual Summer Gala Benefit Bash on Saturday, July 17th, taking place once again on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor. Bay Street's Summer Gala, recognized as "Best of the Best - Event of the Year" (Dan's Papers, 2007, 2008 and 2009), has several new twists this year that are sure to keep guests entertained all night long! Mario Cantone (Sex & The City) will bring his comedic talent as Host to this star-studded event which will include cocktails, dining, dancing, and auction all set against the background of the stunning bay and moonlit sky. Guests can enjoy either a sit-down dinner or a special new feature this year; a lounge seating area in which revelers will receive passed tapas throughout the evening. Both the dinner and tapas will be catered by Sterling Affair Caterers. Music and entertainment will be provided by celebrity DJ Tom Finn, named "The King of Spin" by Avenue Magazine. Finn has kept the dance floor bustling at fabulous parties including the MTV Music Awards, Oprah's 50th Birthday Party, and even The White House Millennium Bash! The evening will also include a special performance by Escola de Samba Boom which brings a Brazilian flair to the evening with its lively and rhythmical 'Samba' dancing and music.

The evening kicks off with cocktails and delicious hors d'oeuvres while, temptations abound at both the silent and live auctions! Funnyman Richard Kind will serve as Guest Auctioneer for the Live "Fantasy" Auction, and items include vacation stays in luxurious private homes in Punta Cana, Mexico and Costa Rica, a catered cocktail party, Broadway tickets, spa packages and much more! This year's auction items will be featured on CharityBuzz.com with early bidding starting on July 1st.

This year, guests will also have the opportunity to partake in a special Tiffany & Co. Mystery Blue Box Moment. This special event, which only happens once a year in the Hamptons, is sure to please anyone that loves Tiffany. Only 125 Tiffany Blue boxes, each with a gift, will be sold. The Summer Gala Benefit is one of Bay Street's most important fundraising events of the year. Funds raised from the Gala will support Bay Street's many programs including; the Summer Mainstage productions, the Comedy Club, Bay Street @ The Parrish and the Picture Show Classic Film Series, as well as Educational Outreach Initiatives including Literature Live, Summer College Internships and Theatre Camps and Classes for kids.

The Hamptons only Waterfront Gala is a fun night for a great cause, so call today to reserve your tickets!!
