Tony-winner Cady Huffman will call upon her more emotional dramatic talents when she joins the cast of ABC's 37-year old soap opera "One Life to Live."

Replacing Kimberlin Brown as Dr. Paige Miller, Huffman's first episode will air in August.  Dr. Miller has been a character on the soap since 2004, when Brown joined the show.

Huffman previously made a splash on television by playing herself in the HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm."  In the art-imitating-life scenario, she befriended Larry David, who (disastrously) played The Producers' Max Bialystock in a number of episodes.  Huffman received a Tony Award for her performance as Swedish sexpot Ulla in The Producers, and was previously nominated for her work as Ziegfeld's Favorite in The Will Roger Follies.  Huffman's other Broadway credits include Steel Pier, Big Deal and La Cage aux Folles.

"One Life to Live" would seem to be the destination soap opera for theatre people  Patricia Elliott (A Little Night Music) plays Renee Devine, and Kathy Brier (Hairspray), Peter Bartlett (The Frogs, Never Gonna Dance), Robin Strasser (Chapter Two), Heather Tom (Prymate), as well as Renee Elise Goldsberry (the upcoming Shakespeare in the Park production of Two Gentleman of Verona) are also featured on the show.
