Today, November 12 at 6:30pm, The Segal welcomes one of Haiti's leading writers, Gary Victor, for an evening of readings and conversation. Victor's prolific, acclaimed work interlaces an irreverent, satirical perspective on Haitian society with Vodou-inspired magic realism.

The evening will feature a reading from Victor's play Le Sang et la mer and other works, directed by Phyllis Roome, followed by a conversation between Victor, Haitian literature scholar Thomas C. Spear (Lehman College and The Graduate Center, CUNY), and special guests.

With additional support from the Haiti Cultural Exchange and the Haitian Studies Association.
Produced in collaboration with the M.A. program in the Study of the Americas at the City College of New York (CUNY) .

Martin E. Segal Theatre, The Graduate Center, CUNY is located at 365 Fifth Ave at 34th St.. Admission is free! First come, first served.
