With just 10 nail-biting days to go until the season finale of The Amazing Race CANADA, CTV announced today after popular demand it will produce and broadcast the live, one-hour, after-show special AFTER THE RACE. A special episode of THE SOCIAL produced in front of a live studio audience direct from CTV's Queen St. headquarters in Toronto, AFTER THE RACE seamlessly follows the season finale in all markets, airing Monday, Sept. 16 at 10 p.m. ET on CTV. The post-finale conversation continues with all nine teams and The Amazing Race CANADA host Jon Montgomery in the special hosted by THE SOCIAL's Melissa Grelo, Cynthia Loyst, Lainey Lui, and Traci Melchor, and ETALK Race Insider Danielle McGimsie. AFTER THE RACE also airs Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, during THE SOCIAL's regular timeslot (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times).

"AFTER THE RACE provides the millions of viewers who tune in each week an excellent opportunity to take in even more race tidbits and also hear from the racers themselves about what it was like to be part of this blockbuster series," said Mike Cosentino, Senior Vice-President, Programming, CTV Networks. "THE SOCIAL is the perfect opportunity to showcase the talent behind CTV's new talk series, all while keeping the conversation going for fans of The Amazing Race CANADA."

Viewers will barely have a beat to process the dramatic final dash to the finish line before the ladies of THE SOCIAL, along with ETALK's Danielle McGimsie, help break it all down with the racers on AFTER THE RACE. Fresh from winning the half-a-million dollar grand prize, the ladies sit down with the Victorious team for their first live interview following their victory, and might also have a little surprise for them in store.

Also joining AFTER THE RACE is Canadian hero and The Amazing Race CANADA host Jon Montgomery, who weighs in on all the juicy banter via satellite from outside The Canada Olympic Park in Calgary. Plus, the show features the eight other teams as they revisit some of the season's most memorable moments, resurface team rivalries, and discuss the most controversial events from the season.

To be a part of the AFTER THE RACE live, studio audience in Toronto, viewers can email audience@thesocial.ca with the subject line "After The Race" and a brief explanation why they would like to part of the audience. It's an opportunity to be part of the ultimate The Amazing Race CANADA screening party, as audience members get to actually watch the finale with all nine teams before the show begins. Viewers wanting to catch up or discover the breakout series for the first time before the finale, and watch it along with millions of Canadians on Sept. 16, can do so on demand across CTV's digital platforms including: CTV.ca, the CTV App, the CTV Mobile channel on Bell Mobile TV, and through video on demand partners such as Bell Fibe TV following the broadcast. Earlier in the day (Monday, Sept. 16), fans of The Amazing Race CANADA are also invited to attend a special autograph signing with all nine teams in the parking lot of CTV's Queen St. HQ in Toronto, from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. It's a perfect opportunity for fans to meet their favourite teams, and snap a few pics prior to the season finale later that night.Canada's most-watched program of the summer and the #2 program of the entire broadcast year, the blockbuster, record-breaking, fan-favourite The Amazing Race CANADA continues to race ahead of the pack with an average audience of 3.33 million viewers each week.
