The Off-Broadway hit comedy sensation of celebrities reading from their fellow celebs' biographies is coming to Bay Street and is sure to have audiences roaring. Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words will be at Bay Street on July 20 at 8:00 p.m. as part of Bay Street Theatre's Monday Night Comedy Club.

This year's cast list reads like a who's who, and includes Matthew Broderick, Jackie Hoffman, Carson Kressley, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, Sherri Shepherd, and Alan Zweibel.

Celebrity Autobiography: In their Own Words is the brainchild of producer Eugene Pack. As pack explains it, "I would listen to a lot of books-on-tape, particularly autobiographies, and was astounded at what people would write about. If I got a hold of one of the books, I'd read it out loud to a friend, and they'd insist I was making it up...but people actually wrote these words. I thought this material would be extremely entertaining."

Pack couldn't have been more right and this year the show was awarded the 2009 Drama Desk Award. The reviews have been unanimous.
"Inspired. Hilarious." (LA Times), "hilariously told" (NY Times), "awesome and hilarious" (Variety), and "What could be funnier than celebrities reading from the heartfelt writings of other celebrities?" (NY Post)
