CBS SUNDAY MORNING Delivers Over 6 Million Viewers

CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD delivered more than 6 million viewers for the ninth time this season and posted year-to-year increases of +7% in adults 25-54 and +14% in viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for March 23.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING was watched by 6.09m viewers and delivered a 1.6/08 with adults 25-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +7% in adults 25-54 (from 1.5/07) and up +14% in viewers (from 5.36m).

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +6% in viewers (5.98m from 5.66m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.5/07) compared to last year.

Anthony Mason anchored Sunday's broadcast, which was CBS SUNDAY MORNING's annual finance-focused episode, "The Money Issue." Among the stories featured on the broadcast were Lee Cowan's profile of international superstar and philanthropist Shakira; Mark Strassmann's look at the changing face of American shopping malls; Rita Braver's report on the design of U.S. currency; Serena Altschul's look at Quirky, a company that brings new inventions to market; David Pogue's piece on the future of wearable technology; Richard Schlesinger's story about Spirit Airlines; Nancy Giles' tips on tipping; and Seth Doane's look inside Tokyo's largest fish market.
