Roger Kirby's play Burleigh Grimes$, which began previews on May 23rd at New World Stages (340 W. 50th St., formerly Dodger Stages), will open on Thursday, June 13th.

The show stars Wendie Malick ("Just Shoot Me"), James Badge Dale ("24"), Mark Moses ("Desperate Housewives"), Nancy Anderson (Fanny Hill, Wonderful Town), Jason Antoon (Contact), Ashley Williams ("Huff") and John Lavelle (The Graduate).

"Set in a world where no bad deed goes unrewarded, Burleigh Grime$ follows George Radbourn (Dale), a Wall Street newbie who doesn't recognize that his mentor, Burleigh Grimes (Moses), may not be entirely sincere in appearance or agenda. A hard-driving stock market force, Grimes is a relentless man of infinite calculation, further assisted in his financial schemes by media powerhouse Elizabeth Bigley (Malick).
In an arena where the naïve and sentimental face ruin, George struggles for survival under the hand of Grimes' flexible business tactics, while also dealing with the arrival of his college sweetheart, Grace Redding (Williams), who will soon have to face some difficult choices of her own," state press notes on the show, which is directed by David Warren.

T
he show features original music by two-time Tony and Grammy Award nominee David Yazbek (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Full Monty), performed by a live onstage band.

Burleigh Grime$ features set design by Jim Youmans, costume design by Gregory Gale, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by Peter Fitzgerald and choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler. The New York premiere of the play is presented by Lewis Productions.
