BroadwayWorld is Most Thankful For: Last Season's Hits- PIPPIN

Thanksgiving might be over, but that doesn't mean that there isn't anything left to be thankful for this year! Earlier this week, BroadwayWorld brought you entries from over 60 of Broadway's biggest stars on what they are counting their blessings for (CLICK HERE to check out the full list), but now we turn the tables and share with you the reasons why we are thankful this holiday season.

The 2013 theatre season brought some truly extraordinary productions, including Pippin, which is still playing at the Music Box Theatre. The revival earned 10 Tony nominations, taking home four awards- for Director, Leading Actress, Featured Actress, and Revival of a Musical.

About the Show: Royal heir Pippin is spurred on by a mysterious group of performers to embark on a death-defying journey to find his "corner of the sky." The original production of Pippin, directed by Bob Fosse, premiered on Broadway in 1972. It won five Tony Awards and five Drama Desk Awards, and ran for close to 2000 performances before closing in 1977. This production of Pippin made its debut atAmerican Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) in Cambridge, MA, where Diane Paulus serves as Artistic Director; December 5, 2012 to January 20, 2013.
