For the first-time ever, as an Official Sponsor of the 70th Annual Tony Awards and Presenting Sponsor of the Behind the Scenes Livestream, BroadwayHD will join forces with the Tony Awards to stream extra behind-the-scenes video content during the CBS telecast of the awards, live from the Beacon Theatre. The stream will be available on BroadwayHD.com and TonyAwards.com on June 12, 2016 at 8:00 PM ET.

The Behind the Scenes Livestream will contain exclusive backstage content including first reaction interviews with award winners moments after they have received their Tony, real-time reactions as winners are announced and as casts prepare to perform onstage, pre-recorded content from dress rehearsals, and more.

Launched in October of 2015 by Broadway producers Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley, who among them have nine Tony Award wins, BroadwayHD is on a mission to promote and preserve live theater, extending the reach of Broadway and Broadway-caliber shows to anyone, anywhere. This sponsorship is the next step in furthering the brand's mission by allowing viewers around the globe to take a peek behind the curtain and experience the behind-the-scenes excitement at The Tony Awards for the very first time.

"Celebrating the performing arts is extremely important to us, and we have admired how The Tony Awards has been doing just that for 70 years now. This partnership seemed like the perfect fit in order to continue our mission and we could not be more thrilled to provide our viewers with another unique way to experience the magic of Broadway," said Lane and Comley.

"Through our partnership with BroadwayHD, we are able to share all of the magic, excitement and chaos that happens backstage on Tony night. For the first time ever, our fans - no matter where in the world they may be - whether on their couch or their mobile device - will experience intimate behind-the-scenes moments that will allow them to feel as if they are at the Beacon Theatre in New York City," Charlotte St. Martin, President of The Broadway League, and Heather Hitchens, President of the American Theatre Wing, said.
