Broadway In Chicago to Offer 1776 Half-Price Tickets to PIPPIN, ON YOUR FEET! & More

Broadway In Chicago has announced that ON YOUR FEET!, KINKY BOOTS, FANCY NANCY and PIPPIN will make 1776 half-price tickets available through the League of Chicago Theatres' Hot Tix program Monday, June 29 through Sunday, July 5. Tickets will be available to select performances in July, for purchase only through Hot Tix booth locations (72 E. Randolph St., 108 N State St., or 163 E. Pearson St.) or at www.HotTix.org while supplies last. Broadway In Chicago has developed this offer in conjunction with the League of Chicago Theatres which provides services and support to over 200 Chicagoland theaters.

ON YOUR FEET! is the story of two people who-through an unwavering dedication to one another and their pursuit of the American dream-showcased their talent, their music and their heritage to the world in a remarkable rise to global superstardom. The musical is set to Gloria's chart-topping, smash hits such as "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You," "Conga," "1-2-3," "Get On Your Feet," "Mi Tierra," "Don't Want To Lose You Now," and "Coming Out Of The Dark," in addition to an original song written by Gloria and their daughter Emily Estefan.

In KINKY BOOTS, Charlie Price has reluctantly inherited his father's shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. Trying to live up to his father's legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola. A fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos, Lola turns out to be the one person who can help Charlie become the man he's meant to be. As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible... and discovers that when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world.

From the tip-top of her twinkly tiara down to her sparkly slippers, FANCY NANCY is eager to steal the spotlight in her first dance recital. But when someone else gets picked to be the prima ballerina (that's a fancy word for star of the show) Nancy is stuck playing a dreary, dull tree. Through practicing kindness, Nancy must become a musical hero by finding the fancy flair in her new role. Adapted from the bestselling book series, this show is full of funny, frilly ballet ballads.

PIPPIN is back for the first time since it thrilled audiences 40 years ago... With a beloved score by Tony nominee Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell), PIPPIN tells the story of a young prince on a death-defying journey to find meaning in his existence. Will he choose a happy but simple life? Or will he risk everything for a singular flash of glory. This captivating new production is directed by Tony winner Diane Paulus (Hair and The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess). It features sizzling choreography by Tony Award nominee Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse and circus creation of breathtaking acrobatics by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers) the creative force behind the nationwide sensation Traces. PIPPIN is noted for many Broadway standards including "Corner of the Sky," "Magic To Do," "Glory," "No Time at All," "Morning Glow," and "Love Song."
