Many philosophers, theologians and Christians claim the book of Revelation shouldn't be included in the Bible due to its cryptic language and lack of Jesus Christ's presence. Author Boyd O. Gray, who has a doctoral degree in biblical history, is staunchly opposed to the exclusion of Revelation as an important biblical book.

In his new book, "Looking into the Revelation: The Countdown to Christ's Return" (published by iUniverse) Gray uses his background in biblical history and his experience as a pastor to critically examine the book of Revelation in an attempt to educate the masses on a prophecy Gray says is soon to be fulfilled.

Gray begins his book with an introduction of the several views or methods in which people have interpreted Revelation throughout history. Gray notes that he falls into the pre-millennial group, which asserts true believers will be taken from the earth before the end of days.

Throughout the rest of the book, Gray cites numerous passages from Revelation, describing in great detail the events that he claims are often misinterpreted, and ties them to modern times and events.

"This book was written to inspire those who read it to see the fulfillment of scripture," Gray says, "and to those who are not ready for His coming to make themselves ready for this event."
