Boston Children's Theatre is set to premiere a new musical by Tony Award-nominated composer Keith Hermann and Mark Cabaniss next month specifically targeted to young audiences titled THE HOMEWORK MACHINE.

The official description of THE HOMEWORK MACHINE is as follows: "BCT kicks off their Marcia J. Trimble New Works Program with the World Premiere musical THE HOMEWORK MACHINE, based on the best-selling book by Dan Gutman. With book and lyrics by Mark Cabaniss and music by Keith Herrmann (Romance/Romance), THE HOMEWORK MACHINE is an interactive musical adventure for all ages. THE HOMEWORK MACHINE features a group of 5th grade students who are bound by one very big secret: the homework machine. Code-named 'Belch', the machine does their homework for them and ultimately becomes more powerful than the students ever imagined."

THE HOMEWORK MACHINE is set to play April 19 through 27 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts.
