John Montgomery Theatre Company (JMTC) presents acclaimed New York monologist Bob Brader's Preparation Hex at The United Solo Theatre Festival. From the creators of the multi-award-winning Spitting In The Face Of The Devil, a hit in last year's Canadian and US Fringe Circuits and in New York City and hailed by critics as "brilliant", "masterful" and "unforgettable."
Bob presented Spitting In The Face Of The Devil in the Inaugural United Solo Theatre Festival, where he won the Award for Best Script. In addition it is the Winner of "Best Show of The London Fringe" from The Beat Arts in London, Winner of "Fringe Hit" at The Atlantic Fringe, Winner of "Pick of The Fringe" at The Victoria Fringe Festival and Winner of "Best of the Fest" from The San Francisco Fringe Festival. Bob is excited to return to United Solo as an Encore Performer with his new show, Preparation Hex, tonight, October 21-29, 2012.
Love is not the only ring of fire. This hemorrhoid tale and love story is New York monologist Bob Brader's comic odyssey to get the girl and live to love her. Directed and developed by Suzanne Bachner, Preparation Hex debuted at The FRIGID New York Festival, then played at The Director's Studio and at The London Fringe.
JMTC's 2012 Summer Tour of Preparation Hex included The Regina Fringe Festival, The Winnipeg Fringe Festival and The Calgary Fringe Festival. Suzanne Bachner Suzanne is thrilled to be the director and developer of
Bob Brader's acclaimed solo shows, Spitting In The Face Of The Devil and Preparation Hex. Playwriting: her award-winning play, Circle, ran for five months Off Broadway, was performed nationally, optioned for production in Australia and called "ingenious" by The New York Times. Playwriting and directing: a six month run of her cult hit, Icons & Outcasts; a five month run of her choose-your-own adventure comedy, BITE, both in New York City and her celebrated memoir play, We Call Her Benny, which Broadway World called "the future of theatre".
