Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists, is pleased to expand its horizons with local comedy, featuring the Damaged Goods Comedy Tour with Andy Bumatai, co-produced with Greg Azus of Hawaii's Natural High and formerly of the Pipeline Café.

The show is hosted by James Mane and local comedian Kaleo Pilanca will get the crowd started in what promises to be a night of side-splitting laughter.

Damaged Goods Comedy Tour with Andy Bumatai is set for March 5, 2017. Tickets: $25 General Admission. Showtime: 8:00 pm (Doors open 6 pm)

Andy Bumatai has been a comic & businessman in Hawai'i for over 35 years. He's owned a nightclub, a chain of cell phone stores and an interest in one of the original ISPs in Hawai'i. Starting in Hawai'i, where he is a comedy icon, he has traveled extensively as a headliner in Comedy Clubs across America and as an opening act, on tour, with some of the biggest names in show business including Tom Jones, Paul Anka, Kenny Loggins, The Beach Boys and Lionel Richie.

From 2007 to 2009 Andy produced and hosted a prime time talk show seen five nights a week in Hawai'i. For the last 5 years he's been the host and producer of a number of weekly Hawai'i TV shows including "In The Car," "Toolin' Around" and "The Weekly Daily Pidgin." Recently Andy and shifted his focus to online only creating YouTube channels for "Toolin' Around with Andy Bumatai" and "The Daily Pidgin with Kaleo Pilanca."

After a bout with throat cancer Andy is now back to performing stand-up comedy. As Andy puts it "I'm one of the few people with a show business career to fall back on in case my day job doesn't work out."

Located in the former Society of Seven showroom inside Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort, Blue Note Hawaii will feature a year-round lineup of musical entertainment - from local talent to international sensations - for limited engagements. As a part of Outrigger's ongoing commitment to the musical arts, the performance venue has undergone an extensive, multi-million-dollar revitalization, creating a brand new venue in the heart of Hawaii's most famed beach resort destination. Blue Note Hawaii features completely new décor and a state-of-the-art sound and light system.

The 9,000 square-foot facility was designed by local architecture and interior design firm InForm Design, and seats over 300 patrons, showcasing two performances nightly in an intimate setting - seven days a week, 365 days a year. A contemporary gift shop is part of the plan, including a dedicated location for musical acts to hold autograph sessions following each show. Guest will have the opportunity to dine at the venue, where a full-service restaurant and bar will highlight the culinary talents of Chef Rodney Uyehara. Talent buying and programming will be handled out of Blue Note Entertainment Group's New York office. Additionally, the venue will be available for private event bookings.
