Bloomingdale's, in partnership with Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, has teamed up with the highly anticipated new original musical, Dear Evan Hansen to create a unique space that has never been seen before.

Drawing inspiration from the show's signature color, blue, the theatre's traditionAl Green room, located at the famed Music Box Theatre in New York City (home of Dear Evan Hansen), has been reinvented as the Bloomingdale's Blue Room.

Bloomingdale's Director of Store Design, Lisa Contreras oversaw the space renovation which will serve as the show's social media hub as well as an area to entertain guests before and after show times. To create a warm and inviting setting, the room draws inspiration from the show as well as the building's unique architecture.

The architecture of the space is one of a kind in that it has a spectacular oversized window overlooking 45th St. as well as a distinctive sliding door, behind which is an Open Window overlooking the stage below.

Taking visual cues from the show, the room has been transformed with hues of blue and a striped accent wall reflecting back to the main character, Ben's shirt, which he wears throughout the performance. Another main focal point of the room is the window that overlooks the stage, which is painted in deep blue and gives new meaning to "Waving Through a Window"; one of the show's most memorable numbers. To create a comfortable space for the cast and crew Bloomingdale's worked with one of its most trusted partners, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams to furnish and transform the space. A convex mirror hangs on the wall across from a white stone chaise lounge accented with navy throw pillows, inviting guests to sit back and relax. Two black frame white fur ansel chairs sit on either side of the chaise creating a space encouraging guests to sit and engage in conversation. The space is lit by a chrome savory floor lamp as well as a desk lamp that sits on a parsons buffet table with a white quartz top. Two cowhide ottomans rest under the buffet and serve as footrests or extra seating. A full list of products featured in the Bloomingdale's Blue Room is available by request.

The Bloomingdale's Blue Room opened November 4 and will permanently live at the Music Box Theatre for the duration of the show.
