According to Deadline, Bill Murray will appear in HBO's upcoming miniseries OLIVE KITTERIDGE, directed by Lisa Cholodenko.

Based on the book by Elizabeth Strout, OLIVE KITTERIDGE is written by Jane Anderson and centers on Olive (McDormand), who lives in a New England town full of affairs, crime and tragedy.

Murray will play 'Jack Kennison', a local widower who becomes friends with Olive. The actor joins Rosemarie DeWitt, Richard Jenkins, Zoe Kazan, Jesse Plemons, and John Gallagher, Jr. in the cast.

Murray will next appear on the big screen in St. Vincent De Van Nuys, The Monuments Men, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and B.O.O.

His past credits include Passion Play, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Zombieland, The Darjeeling Limited, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Lost in Translation, Charlie's Angels, Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters and more.
