"This production is going to take a real good look at all of the characters through the glow and heat of the fire and see A Streetcar Named Desire with new eyes," said director Tawnya Pettiford-Wates.

The cast for A Streetcar Named Desire includes Richmond Theatre Critics Circle (RTCC) Award nominee Bianca Bryan (The Clean House) as Blanche DuBois, RTCC Award winner Joseph Carlson (Henry IV Part II) as Stanley Kowalski, Lauren Marie Hafner as Stella Kowalski, Charley Raintree as Harold "Mitch" Mitchell, Anne Carr Regan as Eunice Hubbell, Bill Brock as Steve Hubbell, Margarette Joyner as Negro Woman/Singer, Jeremy Morris as Pablo Gonzales, and Alexander Gerber as Young Man.

Winner of the 1948 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Play, Tennessee Williams' iconic masterpiece follows the fading but still attractive southern belle Blanche DuBois as she arrives unexpectedly on the doorstep of her sister, Stella, and her brother-in-law, Stanley Kowalski. Over the course of one hot, sultry New Orleans summer, Blanche's fragile facade slowly crumbles as she meets her match in the rough-hewn and sensual Stanley, who sees through her and is determined to expose her.
