The accomplished cast of the highly anticipated new musical IF/THEN, starring Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, is currently performing the show out-of-town at Washington, D.C.'s hallowed National Theater and a revealing new behind-the-scenes video highlighting the recent sitzprobe is now available to view.

In celebration of the sitzprobe - that is, the first time cast and orchestra perform together - the cast and crew also posed for some shots and a few performance captures of the actors in action recently appeared, as BroadwayWorld previously reported here.

The official synopsis for If/Then is as follows: "On the verge of turning 40, Elizabeth moves back to New York City, the ultimate city of possibility, intent on a fresh start - new home, new friends, and hopes for a resurgent career. But even in her carefully planned new life, the smallest decision or most random occurrence will impact her world in ways she never dreamt possible. Set against the ever-shifting landscape of modern day Manhattan, If/Then is a romantic and original new musical about how choice and chance collide and how we learn to love the fallout."

IF/THEN began performances at The National Theatre in Washington, D.C. on November 5, 2013 and the official opening is set for November 24, 2013. The production will then begin previews on Broadway on March 5, 2014 and will officially open on March 27, 2014.

More information on IF/THEN is available at the official site here.
