February 14 at 7:30 pm and February 15 at 2:00 pm

Tickets are $35/$40

Wonderbound's relationship with the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado began with its collaborative production of A Dangerous Liaison in 2012. Marie will dive into the psychological, social, political and romantic complexities surrounding Marie Antoinette, Queen of France, through a decidedly contemporary lens.

To celebrate Valentine's Day, the PACE Center and The Parker Garage (Old Town's newest restaurant featuring seasonal, locally grown and intentionally crafted cuisine) have teamed up to offer a package deal. Patrons can get a delicious 5-course meal for two and tickets to Marie for $180. Full details are available at ParkerArts.com.

The Story Pirates

February 26 at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 6:30 pm

Tickets are $8/$12

Shiver me timbers! Pirates have smuggled their way onto the shores of the PACE Center in Parker! Make no mistake, these aren't your usual swashbucklers, they're Story Pirates! This crew made of professional actors travel far and wide to perform stories by kids for kids in this hilarious musical sketch comedy show.

Before the show can begin, however, the Story Pirates make port at local area elementary schools to do a writing residency workshop on how to develop a story. Kids come to school, learn how to put their imagination down on paper, and get to see their stories brought to life on stage! Each show also has an improvised portion where Story Pirates' actors solicit suggestions from the kids in the audience to create a new sketch on stage.

While they have helped children across the nation create their stories, Story Pirates also has quite a tale of their own. Story Pirates was founded in 2004 to celebrate the words, ideas and stories of young people. They have been heard on Sirius Satellite Radio and on their iTunes Podcast and seen on Kids Place Live and even Conan. Since their first pilot program in a single Harlem school, they have been to 130 schools, collected 30,000 stories and reached 70,000 kids.

Winter may be in full swing, but the Parker Symphony Orchestra has plans to disrupt the despair with a festive celebration of great music.
