Continuing its tradition of celebrating the arts, Barnes & Noble at Lincoln Triangle will host Brian Stokes Mitchell, Capathia Jenkins, Marvin Hamlisch and Donna McKechnie among others in discussion and performance this month.  

The Calendar of Entertainers Includes:

November 4

At 4:30 PM Tony Award winners Marvin Hamlisch and Donna McKechnie will join "Every Little Step" documentary filmmakers James D. Stern and Adam Del Deo in conversation on the film that documents the 2006 Broadway revival of A Chorus Line. The event will include performances by McKechnie and Hamlisch.

November 5

Broadway's Christopher Fitzgerald (Finian's Rainbow) and Jeremy Shamos will perform excerpts from Off-Broadway's Gutenberg! The Musical! They will be joined by creators Anthony King and Scott Brown, who will sign copies of the new PS Classics original Off-Broadway cast recording at 5:30pm.

At 7:30pm, journalist and author Kenneth Turan will discuss the legacy of Public Theater founder Joe Papp in celebration of his new book "Free for All: Joe Papp, the Public, and the Greatest Theater Story Ever Told."

November 11

At 7:30pm, Toby Talbot, the co-owner of The New Yorker Theater, will discuss her book on the art house cinema. Dan Talbot and actress Isabella Rossellini will be special guests at the event.

November 16

at %:00pm, original Sound of Music Broadway cast members Theodore Bikel, Lauri Peters and Brian Davies will join host Laurence Maslon, author of The Sound of Music Companion, The Sound of Music 50th Anniversary Celebration. R&H Organization's Ted Chapin, Bert Fink, and Sam von Trapp, grandson of Maria von Trapp, will be special guests at the event.

November 17

At 6 PM, actor Brian Blessed (Cats, Richard III) and New Victory Theater's Ted Sod will discuss the upcoming production of Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf," which he will narrate live. 

At 7:30pm, Klea Blackhurst and Steve Ross will be special guest performers celebrating the publication of "The Complete Lyrics of Johnny Mercer." Authors Barry Day and Robert Kimball will participate in the event.

November 20

Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell will discuss "Lights on Broadway," a new picture book on theater for children at 5 PM.

November 23

Capathia Jenkins (Caroline, or Change) and Louis Rosen will perform songs from their new album Ache of Possibility at 6 PM.
