Anassa Taverna is perfectly positioned to be your favorite bar and restaurant when you are visiting Midtown East or the Upper East Side. Located just across the street from Bloomingdales, convenient to the Roosevelt Island Tramway and only steps away from a popular movie theater, it is in a great location. Their windows on the world of 3rd Avenue open in the warm weather, al fresco style. Chic and welcoming, it will quickly become one of your favorite spots.

We stopped by for drinks on a Thursday night and enjoyed fabulous cocktail selections. Their spacious bar area also includes tables for friendly get-togethers and date night. Their DJ was spinning some of our favorites, but the noise level was just right for conversation too.

Relax and enjoy. Anassa Taverna has you covered with a fine selection of wine, beer and very inventive mixes. We enjoyed their "Cool & Calm with Ketel One Citroen, cucumber, mint and lime juice and their "Anassatini" with Tanqueray Gin, Elder Flower Liqueur, grapefruit juice and fresh lime. For a real refresher try the "Orange Sparkler" with Prosecco, Aperol, Blood Orange Liqueur and fresh orange juice. And, of course, they offer your favorite classics.

We like that drinks can be easily paired with small plates like the Anassa Chips, Mediterranean Spread, Greek Meatballs or Calamari.

Start with drinks, stay for dinner or plan to come back soon. You'll love the beverage program, delicious food selections and the tasteful ambiance that makes it a perfect fit for the neighborhood.

Anassa Taverna is located at 200 East 60th Street, New York, NY 10022. They are open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. They also accommodate special events. For more information call 212.371.5200 or visit their web site at http://anassataverna.com/.
