The world's longest- running musical THE FANTASTICKS is playing through July 26th at Lamb's Players Theatre in Coronado. BWW San Diego's Audra Stafford had the opportunity to interview several of the cast members and you can watch the segment right here on BWW TV!

THE FANTASTICKS started out a crowd-pleaser and ended up the longest-running musical of all time, with an astonishing 42-year New York run. A girl and boy who live in neighboring houses fall in love despite their parents' feud, until they find that the feud was a trick to bring about their romance. Summer is the perfect season for this sweetly beautiful, broadly theatrical fable about falling in love, growing up, losing childlike innocence, and coming home again wiser. With a gorgeous score filled with beloved songs like "Soon It's Gonna Rain," "I Can See It," and the international chart-topper "Try to Remember," THE FANTASTICKS is a delicious musical confection, a treat for the whole family.

THE FANTASTICKS stars Bryan Barbarin, Joyelle Cabato, Courtney Evans, Antonio T.J. Johnson, Steve Limones, Mauricio Mendoza, John Rosen and Robert Smyth. With Charlie Reuter on piano, PJ Bovee - guitar, Leah Panos - harp, Tom Versen and David Rumley - percussion.

Ticket Information: Tickets are priced from $22 dollars to $58 dollars. For more information and to order tickets visit, www.lambsplayers.org.

THE FANTASTICKS Production Dates: Now thru July 26, 2009, Performance Times: Tues, Wed, Thur 7:30, Fri - 8:00 pm, Sat - 4:00 & 8:00, Sunday - 2:00

Lamb's Players Theatre, Coronado, is one of Southern California's leading non-profit performing arts
organizations. The resident theatre is located in the beautiful village of Coronado just over the bridge from San Diego.

Audra Stafford was bitten by the entertainment bug at a very young age. She started dancing when she was 2 1/2 years old, singing when she was 7 or 8, and absolutely convinced she wanted to be an entertainment reporter by her sophomore year of high school. As the entertainment reporter for San Diego's ABC affiliate, Audra covered such star-studded events as the Academy Awards, Daytime Emmy Awards, opening of Disneyland's Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage ride and Dancing With the Stars. She was also one of only two journalists in the nation to be embedded in a production of CATS during its national tour.

Audra has also interviewed many of Hollywood?s and Broadway?s finest actors, directors and producers, including Scott Sanders, Tom Hulce, Frankie Valli, Robin Williams, Jon Voigt, Helen Mirren, George Lopez, Teri Hatcher, Dakota Fanning, Jerry Bruckheimer and Henry Selick. Audra is a distinguished graduate of San Diego State University?s Television, Film and New Media Production program, where she earned two Student Emmys.
