Five on stage: two actors and three musicians. That's what it takes to bring Jim Morrison to life again - besides all the crew, of course. The God of Rock and dionisyac lead singer of the band of the 60's, The Doors, Jim Morrison get to have his story told in another angle in the musical JIM. Different from the one portrayed in the movie THE DOORS - which was severely criticized by the band members -, starred by Val Kilmer as Jim and directed by Oliver Stone.

About to open in Sao Paulo, the not-exactly-a-biographical-musical JIM was conceived by the Brazilian actor Eriberto Leão, who made possible for Walter Daguerre to write the script and for Paulo de Moraes to take over the director role. Since it started three years ago in Rio de Janeiro, more than 100.000 went to see musical. It was chosen to be everything but a biography due to Jim Morrison's legacy, which Eriberto Leão believes is his poetry, his words. "If we produced a conventional biographical musical, we wouldn't be loyal or coherent to his artwork".

Now theater-goers in Sao Paulo get the chance to watch the musical opening in October 28. Check out a sneak peek BroadwayWorld prepared in the video and get more information about the plot, technical information, dates and sessions in the article in Portuguese.
