BroadwayWorld is excited to bring you another episode of our exclusive, new webseries- SCHOOL'D with Matthew Rodin. SCHOOL'D was created with the intention of providing first hand accounts of students who have attended college for theatre, graduated, and have been successful in forming a career.

This brand new episode of SCHOOL'D features Nick Rashad Burroughs- an alumna of the University of Alabama and an Alabama native, He is currently understudying Billy Porter in Kinky Boots on Broadway. Check out the episode below!

SCHOOL'D is created, produced and hosted by Matthew Rodin, a 2014 graduate of The Boston Conservatory who's YouTube channel is host to weekly videos.

"What's missing from the college application process (for theatre specifically) and the onslaught of easily accessible information about each school, is the ability to have a conversation with someone who's been there, done that, and frankly, 'booked it.' With the growing popularity of social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat (and the current hotshot Meerkat,) high school age students are less interested in the numbers and statistics of each school and more interested in engaging with working actors who have been in their shoes. The SCHOOL'D web series is an exciting new resource for students applying to theatre programs but SCHOOL'D will also spark conversations across social media. With the help of a hashtag (#getmeSCHOOLD) - students can ask questions and then be able to connect with an alumna who can provide answers. I'm extremely excited about the future of SCHOOL'D and I'm looking forward to watching the catalogue of colleges grow," said creator Rodin.
