BWW TV Exclusive: CUTTING-EDGE COMPOSERS CORNER - Zachary Prince Sings Joel Waggoner and Eric Price's 'Brooklyn's Union Hall'
Here's "Brooklyn's Union Hall" by Joel Waggoner and Eric Price. "The inspiration for the song was to write about the moment it was announced that Barack Obama had won the 2008 Presidential Election," said Price. Zachary Prince (the Last Five Years) stars in this video from our most recent concert at Joe's Pub.
Joel Waggoner (Music) and Eric Price (Lyrics) both received MFAs from New York University's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program and are both Dramatists Guild Fellows. Joel's musical Carolina Breeze (words by Lori Mannette) received several concerts and a workshop in 2012. His recent musical direction credits include Merrily We Roll Along (Pace University), Spring Awakening (Pace University), Children of Eden (CAP21), Matchmaker, Matchmaker, I'm Willing To Settle (American Repertory Theatre). Joel is a full-time Music Director/Vocal Coach for the Pace University BFA Musical Theatre Program as well as a private vocal coach for MTCA (Musical Theater College Auditions). Eric's musical Hello Out There (music by Frank Terry) has been developed and produced at Goodspeed, Playwrights Horizons, Adirondack Theatre Festival, and the Village Theatre. With composer Will Reynolds, Eric wrote The Sixth Borough, Around the World, On The Contrary, and a new project called Radioactive.
